Ship it path Unstick the AI
When the AI goes in circles
Write a summary that lets you start a fresh chat without losing any feature.
Example brief
After many rounds of fixes the AI keeps undoing its own work. The way out is a fresh chat that starts from a clear summary of the app.
An example. Use your own idea next.
Steps
- Use the starting project: list every feature it has, and what must not change.
- Write a summary a stranger could rebuild the app from.
- Generate, then check every feature survived the rebuild.
What you will learn
- Context
- Everything the AI can see in a chat. A long chat of failed attempts can mislead it more than it helps.
- Fresh start
- A new chat that begins with a short, accurate summary instead of the whole history.
A sample prompt
This is a household task list app. It has an add form with one text box, a list of tasks, a Done button and a Delete button on every task, and a counter that says how many tasks are left. It must keep all of these and the same two starting tasks.
Write yours first, then compare.
To complete it
Pass all 9 checks and 3 behaviour tests on one version, then accept. You start from a working project and change it.
