Ship it path Launch
Go-live checklist
Run the whole pre-launch pass on a site and know the steps that remain outside the page: domain, DNS and HTTPS.
Example brief
The bakery site is about to get its own domain. Before that, every basic must pass, and you need to know what happens after.
An example. Use your own idea next.
Steps
- Use the starting project and read the checks list: which are missing today?
- Ask for every missing basic in one request, and say what must stay.
- After the checks pass, read the checklist in the notes and note the steps you must do yourself.
What you will learn
- DNS
- The internet's address book. A DNS record tells browsers which server hosts your domain.
- HTTPS
- The padlock. It encrypts traffic between visitor and site and is expected by browsers and search engines.
A sample prompt
Add a favicon, social share tags and a meta description for search results, and a privacy link in the footer. Keep the order button and the contact section the same.
Write yours first, then compare.
To complete it
Pass all 11 checks on one version, then accept. You start from a working project and change it.
