Website path Prompting
Say what you mean
A page that fits a stated audience and tone.
Example brief
A tutoring service for teenagers needs a friendly page that also reassures parents.
An example. Use your own idea next.
Steps
- Decide who reads the page (teenagers and parents) and the tone each needs.
- Add the audience, the tone and two , such as 'short sentences' or 'no jargon'.
- Compare the result with your first version and note what the extra detail changed.
What you will learn
- Constraints
- Hard limits (word count, number of sections, two colors) make versions comparable, so you can see what a change did.
- Tone control
- Describe tone with two or three adjectives plus one example sentence. Adjectives alone are interpreted loosely.
- Audience framing
- State who reads the page and what they want to do. The model picks vocabulary and emphasis from that.
A sample prompt
Build a one-page site for Bright Path Tutoring, which helps teenagers with maths and science. Write for two audiences: teenagers (friendly, encouraging) and parents (calm, reassuring). Use short sentences and no jargon. Include sections for students, for parents and how sessions work, and a button that says 'Book a free first session'.
Write yours first, then compare.
To complete it
Pass all 7 checks on one version, then accept.
